Comb to fight hair loss  (Credit: mussels)

Hair loss is a problem that we encounter quite frequently while combing our hair? When tufts of hair get stuck in the comb, we often wish for a magic comb that can stop hair loss. The HairMax Laser Comb is the answer to this prayer – in January 2007, the FDA approved this comb, which promotes hair growth in males with androgenetic alopecia.

The HairMax Laser Comb uses Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) to help thinning, limp and dull hair. The Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is applied to the scalp and hair through a handheld comb and is said to prevent hair loss.

The Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) was developed by Endre Mester to improve the healing of wounds and has been in use since 1960’s. Now the LLLT is used for many other medical treatments, including prevention of hair loss.

The low-level laser light comes from compressed light of the cold red part of the light spectrum. The color of this light is precise and exists on a single wavelength. Since it is on one wavelength, it travels in a perfectly straight and defined point. The low-level laser light can penetrate the surface of the skin without damaging it; it does not give off heat; and, has no known side effects. The energy of the penetrating light stimulates the body\'s cells and in the specific use of the laser comb, promotes healthy rejuvenation of hair.

A laser comb is usually a handheld hairbrush device that contains the low-level laser on its underside and emits the low-level laser light while a person brushes his/her hair. This allows the light to penetrate the skin and stimulate the scalp cells, which increases the health of the hair. It is recommended to use the laser comb 15 minutes, three times a week. You can see the results of this laser comb within a time span of 6-8 weeks of continuous use.

Hi caroline! Well, we don't sell magic combs or any other beauty products...we just write about them and a whole lot of cosmetic surgery procedures. But you can find out the prices on the net.
